Transform your Life
Your
thoughts create your world and your words indicate your
thoughts. When you eliminate complaining from your life,
you will enjoy happier relationships, better health and
greater prosperity. This simple program helps you set a
trap for your own negativity and redirect your mind towards
a more positive and rewarding life.

“Complaining is not to be confused with informing
someone of a mistake or deficiency so that it can be put
right. And to refrain from complaining doesn’t necessarily
mean putting up with bad quality or behavior. There is no
ego in telling the waiter your soup is cold and needs to
be heated up—if you stick to the facts, which are
always neutral. ‘How dare you serve me cold soup…?’
That’s complaining.”

Tolle, “A New Earth”

The Complaint Free Carteret Campaign has it's first successful
participants. Ms. Chris Barnes, Chamber President and
Ms. Crystal Storey both of Cooperative Bank in Morehead
City finished the program in a world record setting 28
days. Herb Pierson, Pastor of the sponsoring church for
the Complaint Free Carteret Campaign said "This is
a truly remarkable milestone for these two women. Generally
participants in this international program require several
months to reach the goal of 21 consecutive days without
complainint, whining, criticizing or gossiping."
Mike Wagoner, Executive Director of the Carteret County
Chamber of Commerce said "Chris and Crystal have
raised the bar and set a high standard of personal and
business communications that the Chamber encourages us
all to emulate. Carteret County's warmth, friendliness
and positive customer service are made even better by
their example."
The Complaint Free Carteret Campaign is a local version
of the international "A Complaint Free World"
campaign begun two years ago and now active in more than
80 countries with more than 5 million participants. The
goal of the program is to raise the standand of personal
and business conversation by reducing our normal habits
of complaining and gossiping. The program gives each participant
a purple bracelet to use as their reminder not to complain.
Participants then make a personal pledge to switch the
bracelet to the other wrist every time they complain,
whine, criticize or gossip until they can achieve 21 consecutive
days without switching the bracelet. It is a simple, but
not easy program that gently, quietly improves our personal
lives and how we interact with friends, family and associates.
In Carteret County there are more than 500 purple bracelets
being worn and switched.
To receive a free bracelet, call Crystal Coast Unity Church
at 247-1844 or email Herb at GodiSpirit@yahoo.com.
