Herb Pierson - MA, Licensed Unity Teacher, Minister

Herb Pierson has been with Crystal Coast Unity Church since 2001 as a Licensed Unity Teacher and Associate Minister since August, 2005. He came to Crystal Coast Unity Church from Unity Church By The Shore in Asbury Park, NJ.

Asked how his path led from New Jersey to the Crystal Coast of NC, Mr. Pierson said “Those are just the bookends of a career spanning 35 years beginning in Alaska and then 9 states and the District of Columbia.” He was quick to add that “This was the best move because it involved marrying a local gal who lives on the island.” Apparently it was not a hard decision for him.

Herb holds two Master's degrees and 35 years in public service for private and governmental organizations. Herb has also served as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor, family counselor, college professor and high school teacher. Herb brings an enthusiastic style of ministry with a compassionate ear for counseling. He also performs weddings when requested.

Herb's wife, Lissa is one of the founders of Crystal Coast Unity and has served on the board. She is in the Chaplaincy program . Lissa has a busy life between her Yacht business and helping Herb in his position of Minister. Ask her to tell you how they met. This is a great Unity Love Story!
